A taste of Japan made in Okinawa.
Yoyoan Factory, located in Kitanakagusuku Village in the central part of Okinawa's main island, is a specialty store that specializes in Japanese sweets, a rarity in the prefecture.
This small workshop was established in the spring of 2008 with the wish to "be a gentle presence in your daily life. Freshly pounded rice cake, freshly cooked red bean paste. We deliver traditional Japanese flavors gently to modern lifestyles, while staying close to the nature and people of Okinawa.
Okinawa's "Wagashi Chanpuru" Culture
Okinawa has a unique "Chanpuru culture" that is a mixture of traditional Japanese confections, the court confections of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and the confectionery culture of Southeast Asia. At "Yo-Yo", we make fresh confections by hand in the store every day, while respecting such Okinawan characteristics.
Enjoy freshly made products at a coffee shop.
Many people may think of wagashi as "souvenirs" or "gifts," but Yohitsu also has an in-store coffee shop. You can enjoy freshly made dorayaki, daifuku, warabimochi, and other sweets that change monthly with green tea or coffee.
In Okinawa, where time passes slowly, why not experience a "little bit of special everyday life" through Japanese sweets? Of course, we also have a wide variety of Japanese sweets to take home, making them perfect as souvenirs for your loved ones.
